Congratulations to year 1 of The Seattle GeekGirlCon. Here’s to many more! Caught this pic of a little Geek Girl and some Storm Troopers interacting. This is what it’s about, right?

I was so there, so saw those Storm Troopers! I should have taken pictures with them. Damn it! I was just an awkward mess that day, ‘cause I was alone. So many awesome cosplays, too! Again, I felt awkward asking people to take pictures of them. orz

I managed to fit all four books into my bag. I don’t even know if I’m going to be able to have Scott sign all three books, though. I always thought I’d be greedy if I had an author sign more than one book. I mean, other people do it! Why not me? Every time I go to a book signing, I regret not bringing more than one book. That’s why, when Cassandra Clare came around, I went to both WA book signing dates so she can sign two books. Ha!

My first author book signing was Stephenie Meyer, and I just brought Twilight with me for her to sign. I saw other people have stacks of books for her to sign. I was like, WTF?! I regretted not bringing Eclipse, because she would only personally sign that book with your name. My mom came to my rescue and bought me another copy of Eclipse just so SM can personally sign it to me.

Anyway, Scott is having two signings…but that might be awkward considering it’s on the same day. Especially when I’ll be wearing my noticeable Pizza John shirt. Scott: “Hello….*sees John Green on my shirt* You again, Green?”

Back to preparing for Seattle!

I just remembered I had this book! I should take it with me on Saturday for Scott to sign. One of the short stories is by him.

Eck! How many books am I going to end up lugging around? 4? Uglies, Wicked 1-2, Leviathan, and Geektastic. I’m going to have to bring a backpack. Do people bring backpacks to Cons? I’ve never been to a Con! Is it cool to bring backpacks? Will I get searched? Well, I don’t really care if I get searched. It’s not like there will be anything questionable in my bag….just a shit ton of books. Then there’s the matter of possibly buying some merch. Oh man….what do I do?
