I need to go shopping for clothes so badly.

health-diary:

Hardly anything fits and it all feels baggy and blagh. But I’m trying not to buy too much until just before I go to California. I’m worried that if I buy stuff now, it won’t fit in a month and a half. I mean, if I lose another 6 inches this month, they definitely won’t fit.

I have the same problem. It’s frustrating. I remember months back when I read how @thismakesmedurable was frustrated about everything being baggy. I never imagined that I would be in the same situation. I should be happy about how many inches I’ve lost, but it doesn’t make me happy when I can’t find anything to wear anymore.

happened to me. I realized I just didn’t like meat or crave it anymore and then after a while I just made it official and started calling myself vegetarian (though I’m actually pescatarian cause I still eat fish)

Oh, I still crave it. Haha. Just the other day I was craving Korean BBQ. D= I think I’m just more wary of eating meats that I’ve kind of subconsciously? avoided eating so much of it as much as I used to. Either that, or I just don’t have time to cook, and the fastest thing to prepare, grab and go are fruits and veggies. I mean, just today I had a plan on baking some chicken breasts. I even took it out of the freezer to defrost. Did I cook it? HA! No. It’s back in the freezer. FML. What did I make instead? Spinach, pesto, mushroom, and tomato pizza on whole wheat tortilla. Good stuff BTW. I’ll make it again and post it sometime. It was fast, easy, and it gave me time to rest up before I left to hit the gym again. The chicken was still defrosting. I was going to bake it when I got home, but I’m tired now. -.- I’d rather sit and go on tumblr. HA!

HELL YES

YES! One student! Anyone else?

I just use honey or unsweetened applesauce. Dried fruit is great too (dates and raisins are my favorite!))

Dried fruit?! Well, I have used dates to sweeten health shakes before. I’m going to try the raisin thing for my health shakes, too.

I’m not a big fan of honey syrup, but we do still have quite a bit of honey. I might just use that. I have tried the honey powder, though. My mom made me try it. It was OK. It didn’t taste much like honey. I just haven’t bought anymore because it’s not cheap! X[

Thanks Jenn!!

@thismakesmedurable Ah! OK, ‘cause I was wondering why the people on The Biggest Loser were losing so much weight each week, and it was OK. I mean, they are practically working with specialists and doctors. The stuff I read online and on my Lose It app all said 2 pounds was healthy, so I was a bit confused about the 2 pound thing. Thanks! Makes me feel a whole lost better, and I’ll strive to lose a little more each week! :D Maybe I’ll reach my goal earlier than July, which is when my Lose It app said I’d reach it if I lost 2lbs a week!

Thanks.

Yeah…It’s like she thinks I have it all figured out. And I hate how overly happy she is about me finally losing weight. She’s been wanting me to lose weight for a long time now, and she’s making me feel like I’m doing this for her, to make her happy. I’m not! I’m doing this for me! Because I’m not happy with my body, so I’m finally doing well enough to finally change how I feel about myself.

HUGS TO YOU ALL!
I am sorry about your loss. :( Makes me sad because he reminds me of my doggie… -gives tons of hugs-
oh, I’m sorry for your loss ;(
I’m so sorry for your loss Ate. My heart feels like it’s missing a part of it because Doogie was like a pet to me too since I spent so much time with you at your house//bighug

Thank you all! I think I’ll be OK. I’ve done a lot of crying, but I now need to focus on my new little girl. Crying any more will not bring Doogie back. Amelia needs me now. =)

I’m going to try Greek Yogurt today. I generally don’t like yogurt (yoplait?) at all. Do you recommend it? And does it taste better than regular yogurt?

Yoplait and most other yogurt is pretty disgusting IMO, not to mention full…

i personally love the taste of Fage with Stevia. its a little tangy but sweet at the same time, a lot thicker than american yogurt, and its just really good. i used to mix it with Barleans Omega Swirl - Strawberry Banana flavor (which you can find at whole foods). SO GOOD. :)

OOoo! I have Stevia! Gosh…so many good tips. I’m excited!

Yoplait and most other yogurt is pretty disgusting IMO, not to mention full of artificial crap and sweeteners. Greek yogurt has tons of protein (20 g per serving!) and makes an excellent post-workout snack. I absolutely love it. I get the 2% plain, Fage brand. They also have flavored available. I definitely recommend it, I very much enjoy the taste, but not everyone does. It might take a bit of getting used to if you’ve never had it before. If you get the plain kind, you can use it as a substitute for sour cream, mayo, or use it to make a dip. Or mix in some berries and honey if you want something sweet. The possibilities are endless! :) Try it and see how you like it, and if you don’t like it the first time, I’d say it’s definitely worth trying other brands until you find one that works. Hope that helped!

This helps a ton! Thanks so much! I’m actually snacking on some right now, mixed with berries. It’s a little odd plain, but I’m definitely not revolted by it as much as I am with regular yogurt. I am so thrilled about finding out about Greek yogurt. I bought mine from Trader Joe’s. They have a few flavored ones. I bought honey, blueberry, and plain. I’m still going to see if I can try other brands just to see if there’s any better than the ones I just bought. Thanks again for answering my question, and all the really interesting facts about Greek yogurt! =D
